Walchand Engineering and Innovation Council (WEIC) operating as Walchand Innovations, serves as a pivotal engine for driving innovation and fostering an experiential learning based ecosystem to scale ideas into impactful ventures. Guided by the principle of "Creating Futures Together" and built on the technical legacy of Walchand College of Engineering (WCE), this non-profit institution bridges the critical gap between knowledge and real-world impact.

Its core purpose is actioned through a three-pillared mission: developing a robust business incubation ecosystem for entrepreneurs and startups ; promoting applied R&D and IP commercialisation; and strengthening pathways for innovation-led socio-economic impact.

Fundamentally impact-driven and ecosystem-centric, Walchand Innovations is committed to inclusive opportunity for all stakeholders. About Walchand College of Engineering
Established in 1947, Walchand College of Engineering (WCE) Sangli stands as a pioneer in India’s technical education landscape. With a legacy spanning over 75 years and a sprawling 90-acre campus, it is arguably among India’s oldest private engineering institutions. Uniquely, WCE operates as a composite ecosystem, offering a comprehensive range of programs from Diplomas to Autonomous BTech, MTech, and Ph.D. degrees.

The institution currently serves approximately 2,300 undergraduates, 250 postgraduates, 50 research scholars, and over 750 diploma students. This academic capacity is supported by a highly qualified faculty—many holding degrees from IITs and IISc—who are deeply engaged in research and practical engineering. Hence, WCE has consistently secured prestigious benchmarks, including an ‘A’ grade from NAAC and NBA accreditation for its major programs.

Strategically, WCE focuses on the convergence of "Education, Employability, and Employment." By utilizing a Track-Based Curriculum and Choice-Based Credit System, the institute ensures students are industry-ready. In light of this focus on holistic development, graduates secure placements with global giants such as Google, Microsoft, and Amazon, while active student clubs foster leadership and technical skills.
